Congaree National Park is famous for its trees, big trees, yep, they sure do grow ’em big in Congaree National Park, their trees are champions.  It’s actually an old-growth floodplain forest which is fantastic for hiking, kayaking, canoeing, fishing and a whole lot more.  If you don’t fancy doing any of the hard work yourself, hitch a ride on a free canoe tour, complete with a ranger guide – available most weekends.

Congaree National Park is hot in the summer time, cool in the winter time and kind of in between at all times in between! Don’t forget your mosquito repellent – where there’s water – you know how it is . . .

Did you clock the size of some of those trees? Tree huggers paradise, just watch out for the snakes etc.

Not to mention GATORS . . .  I know, it was an old bridge support . . . but next time!
