Denali National Park & Preserve was the first National Park, way back in 1917, to conserve wildlife, so if wildlife is your thing – you can’t find anywhere better in the world. If wildlife isn’t your thing – why not? – it will be by the time you leave, but there’s a whole lot more to see and do at Denali National Park & Preserve anyway. Whether you’re planning a day trip, or a get away from it all back country adventure camping trip, you won’t be disappointed.

Denali National Park & Preserve has around 400,000 visitors each year, but don’t worry, at almost 6 million acres in size, it’s not going to get crowded anytime soon. Most visitors arrive between the end of May and early in September – well it is Alaska you know – so you do need to be prepared for snow at any time of the year, just in case.

Isn’t it terrific? Now, let’s take a look for a bit of wildlife . . .

That ought to be enough to whet your appetite.
