Visitor Center Operating Hours in Grand Teton National Park

  • Craig Thomas Discovery & Visitor Center (The Moose Visitor Center) – is located in Moose, which is around 12 miles north of Jackson. This is the only visitor center at Grand Teton National Park which is open all year, except Christmas Day (December 25th – every year). During the summer months (June through September) it’s open from 8am – 7pm, but the hours get a little shorter along with the days. From November to April it’s still open from 9am to 5pm though, which is just fine.
  • Colter Bay Visitor Center – is located 25 miles north of Moose, close to Jackson Lake, but this Grand Teton Visitor Center is only open during the summer months. From the end of May to the beginning of June it’s open between the hours of 8am – 5pm, it stays open until 7pm from then on until the beginning of September, when it goes back to 5pm closing. Around the first week in October, however, this Grand Teton National Park visitor center closes for the winter.

  • Flag Ranch Information Station – is located around 40 miles north of Moose, only 2.5 miles south of the boundary with Yellowstone National Park. It opens from the beginning of June to the beginning of September between the hours of 9am – 3.30pm, but don’t be surprised if it’s closed around lunchtime. Well, people gotta’ eat ya know!
  • Jenny Lake Visitor Center – is at South Jenny Lake, 8 miles north of Moose. This Grand Teton National Park visitor center also opens from 8am – 5pm from mid May until June, then stays open until 7pm from June until the beginning of September, going back to 5pm closing until the end of September when it closes down for the winter.
  • Jenny Lake Ranger Station – is open between the hours of 8am and 5pm from the end of May through to the beginning of September, and is a great place to find in-depth information for anyone who is planning to backpack the Grand Teton National Park, or do a spot of climbing (or both).

Jenny Lake is beautiful . . . no two ways about it . . . just beautiful.

  • Laurence S Rockefeller Preserve Center – on the Moose-Wilson Road, around 4 miles to the south of Moose. It’s open between the end of May to the beginning of September from 8am to 6pm, and from 9am to 6pm up until the end of September when it closes its doors for the winter.
