Guadalupe Mountains National Park is a real refuge for many different and diverse animal and plant species, from the desert reptiles in the low desert brush, to the golden eagles nesting high on the lush mountain evergreens. Guadalupe Mountains National Park really wants to know about what people value the most in the wilderness, and are always on the look-out for volunteers to help them maintain this wonderful mountain haven. If you live locally then do get involved, what a fantastic way to spend your spare time.

Guadalupe Mountains National Park has weather which is almost as diverse as it’s wildlife. The summers are pretty hot but be prepared for afternoon thunderstorms, the winters can be very cold with snow and ice, and high winds are also possible during the winter or early in the spring time. Even in the summer time the nights are pretty chilly so do be ready for changes in the weather, whatever time of year you visit Guadalupe Mountains National Park.
