Rocky Mountain National Park is a breathtaking place which is bursting with potential adventures. The grandness of the Rocky Mountains has been well documented throughout the years, and let me tell you, they’re definitely worth writing about. With elevations ranging from the lush, grassy valleys at 8000 feet, right up to the 14,259 rugged top of Longs Peak, visitors can’t help but gaze in awe at the Rocky Mountains.

Rocky Mountain National Park has 359 miles of trails to explore by hikers, bikers and horseback riders. There’s camping too, with 5 drive-in campgrounds available and around 200 campsites for the intrepid backpacker. Fishing, bird-watching, photography, cross-country ski-ing in the winter, a wildflower carpet in the spring and summer time, the Rocky Mountain National Park is just a truly amazing place to visit.

Rocky Mountain National Park is home to many different creatures – black bears, bighorn sheep, elk, moose, cougars, coyotes, eagles, hawks and mule deer, as well as the countless smaller mammals which you can watch out for on your travels. Autumn time can get a bit rowdy when the elks start mating so that’s certainly an experience – for the elks as well as the visitors. All in all, the Rocky Mountain National Park is a real national treasure to be explored and enjoyed at your leisure.
