Maine Acadian Culture in the St John Valley is a combination of clubs, societies, museums and towns which all work together. Maine Acadians share many experiences and beliefs, as well as a common language, history and religion. This scenic area in northern Maine offers many adventures, whatever time of year you might choose to visit. The summer months are bursting with both outdoor and indoor activities, fall looks like God has gone crazy with his paint pallet as the leaves turn brilliant reds, vibrant oranges and sunshine yellows. Things don’t go to sleep in the winter time either, that’s when many activities are just getting started – how about doing a spot of ice fishing, snowmobiling, ice-skating or cross country ski-ing to keep you warm.
